The story
Bradford and Bryan have lived with Stargardt disease since childhood, a condition that has taken much of their central vision. In the years since founding Two Blind Brothers, they've built a company and a mission around helping the blind community move forward. Today, ChatGPT has become part of how they do that.
The feature covers how they use it to:
- Navigate city streets and orient themselves in unfamiliar places
- Read menus, bills, and forms independently
- Manage spreadsheets and analyze fundraising data without needing to magnify or scroll cell by cell
- Stay on top of email and flag what needs their attention
- Build presentations and brainstorm for Thrive Blind, their program connecting young people in the blind community with training and career opportunities
Bradford put it simply: accessibility means removing a barrier. Bryan called ChatGPT the greatest accessibility tool in history.
Why this matters
So much of daily life still depends on being able to see. That reality shapes how people learn, work, and what opportunities feel possible. What OpenAI captured in this piece is something we see every day at Two Blind Brothers: when a barrier comes down, people don't just get by, they build. Bradford and Bryan aren't just using ChatGPT to get through the day. They're using it to grow this organization and expand what's possible for the community we serve.
