Two Blind Brothers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by two blind brothers. We create awareness, education, and opportunities that help people thrive with blindness and low vision. From the Shop Blind Challenge and accessible products to community programs and partnerships, every initiative is designed to build understanding, spark connection, and create meaningful opportunities.

Our Mission
Two Blind Brothers
Founded by brothers Brad and Bryan Manning, who were both diagnosed with Stargardt disease at a young age. Growing up with a progressive vision condition shaped not only how they experienced the world, but how they learned to navigate it—through trust, curiosity, resilience, and connection.
As they got older, Brad and Bryan noticed something deeper than their own diagnosis: most people simply don’t understand blindness. Not what it means day to day. Not the wide spectrum of vision loss. And not the independence, capability, and barriers the blind community navigates every day. That lack of understanding creates distance—socially, professionally, and culturally.
Two Blind Brothers exists to close that gap.

Bringing Blindness Into Focus
Blindness and low vision affect millions of people, yet public understanding often comes from distance rather than familiarity. When blindness is misunderstood, it becomes easier to overlook accessibility, inclusion, and opportunity.
Two Blind Brothers focuses on bringing blindness into everyday awareness—through design, storytelling, and shared experiences that make it familiar, not abstract.
Education
Designed With Intention
We believe education is most effective when it invites engagement, not just explanation. That’s why our programs are designed to help people build understanding through thoughtful interaction and reflection.
Through initiatives like the Shop Blind Challenge, we encourage people to engage without visual cues and learn about blindness as a spectrum—how accessibility works, how independence shows up, and how intentional design shapes daily life.
We extend that learning through tactile products with braille details, such as labeling colors in braille. These design choices make accessibility visible, spark curiosity, and open the door to conversation—helping blindness become part of everyday understanding.
Education becomes lasting when it’s built through awareness, engagement, and intention—not just taught.

Two Blind Brothers serves as a gateway to the broader blind community. As people gain understanding, they move from curiosity to connection, supporting research, programs, and organizations that are creating lasting impact.
Today, support goes beyond funding our work. Every purchase, donation, and partnership helps expand access, strengthen connections, and create new opportunities for people who are blind or have low vision. What began as a movement to build understanding has grown into a nonprofit advancing that mission through ThriveBlind, scholarships, mentoring, partnerships, and community programs.

L'AMY America Eyewear
Through our eyewear partnership, our mission is shared across approximately 2,000+ optometrist clinics nationwide.
PUMA
Our collaboration with PUMA put accessibility at the center of elite sport. Working together on the French Blind Football Team’s kit, we introduced tactile, braille-inspired design elements that celebrate instinct, skill, and independence.
Dogs Inc Shop Blind Challenge
Our collaboration with Dogs Inc combines education and impact through a dedicated Shop Blind Challenge experience. Together, we invite participants to learn about guide dog training, etiquette, and the powerful role these dogs play in supporting independence, while directly helping fund Dogs Inc’s mission.
Shopify Shop Blind Event
In collaboration with Shopify, Two Blind Brothers hosted a live Shop Blind Event that challenged participants to shop without visual cues. The immersive experience helped attendees better understand accessibility barriers while learning directly about blindness, inclusion, and the impact of thoughtful design.
